'MECHANICS HALL' This is the biggest shed. Giant timber trusses span over the big volumes and allow for lighting to hang off them for theatre productions. The walls are lined with MDF to door height so they don't get damaged easily. Like for all the other sheds, the ceiling is of an acoustic type. The truss system used here is a simple 'army bridge' type Warren truss. This hall was designed to represent a traditional country town's 'Mechanics Hall'. Here, it provides the people of Norlane West with their only large meeting room where community events can be held.
